Strategic Pay is a contracting intermediary. We supply labour to end users and recruitment agencies.

 

New legislation was introduced within the intermediary sector to test the Supervision, Direction and Control when applying tax relief on travel related expenses. This had a direct bearing on the cost of labour, with many companies being forced to increase their labour rates.  This then caused a knock-on effect to the recruiter, which ultimately resulted in an increase of the cost of labour for the end user client.  Strategic Pay has identified an alternative contracting arrangement which allows them to enter the intermediary sector and offer cost-effective solutions in regards to supplying labour in a challenging business environment.

 

Outsourcing has become a major trend in human resources over the past decade and increasingly, companies (both large and small), are turning to it as a way to grow, whilst restricting both payroll and overhead costs.

 

All suppliers are UK registered limited companies that pay its employees via PAYE.

 

Strategic Pay selects each supplier based on the due-diligence carried out, which considers the potential suppliers background, as well as the financial position of the potential supplying business. Due-diligence is also carried out on the director of the potential supplier, assessing the director’s qualifications and business experience.

 

Strategic Pay will still be its client’s primary contact.  They will manage all contracting requirements, including the secondary suppliers. Strategic Pay and its clients will be engaged via Terms of Business to ensure that Strategic Pay are responsible for meeting clients’ requirements.

Summary of Process

 The end user client will no longer directly employee their workforce.

Strategic pay will now be responsible for supplying the labour to the end user client.

Strategic pay will be responsible for managing the end user clients’ payroll (weekly or monthly).

The end user client will supply the relevant payroll information (hours worked) to Strategic pay.

Strategic pay will calculate the payroll and invoice the end user client.

Once this invoice has been paid.  Strategic pay will then pay the sufficient funds over to the independent suppliers.

The independent suppliers will then pay their employees.

Strategic pay will manage the labour via an online portal.  All employees will have their own login, and will be able to view their payslips and payroll information.  There is also the facility for payslips and information updates to be sent directly to the employees, via email or SMS messages.
